A Real Citrus Juicer

Sunkist juicers are the some of the most versatile citrus juicers on the market today. They are relatively small machines that have a lot of power when it comes to citrus juicing.

Citrus juicers are built to only juice citrus fruits including grapefruits, limes, lemons, and oranges. It functions by spinning a reamer with a motor when you place half of a citrus fruit on top of the reamer. The juice is grinded out and funnels into some sort of container for you.

Sunkist Juicer Review

What separates Sunkist juicers from other electric citrus juicers is the sheer power it has. It boasts a powerful 1/4 horsepower motor that spins at very fast at a rate of 1750 RPM. It includes three reamers ranging from large to small, so you can juice large grapefruits to small lemons. This commercial citrus juicer was built with speed and volume as its main goal, which it does very well.

The Sunkist citrus juicer has a nice stainless steel finish that makes it attractive to have around the kitchen. The other parts use a strong and corrosion-proof plastic. As this machine was modeled to handle lots of abuse, it is made of high quality parts and it weighs in at 31 pounds. You will never have to worry about it falling off the counter and landing on your toes (at 31 pounds, your toes are very grateful for that!) Finally, the parts are removable and dishwasher safe, so having to wash this heavy piece of machinery is quite easy.

The only thing holding people back is the price. At a whopping $600, this is not meant for the average juicing diet. This is meant for families who need to pump out a lot of juice on a daily basis, or for businesses that require a large volume of fresh juice. After all, it is a commercial juicer.

There are plenty of cheaper electric citrus juicers available as well. Nowadays, they will probably cost you no more than $30. Honestly, that is probably a better buy for most people. They are smaller and easier to handle, and provide good juicing for occasional uses. There are also citrus presses that require more effort on your part and more money out of your pocket to buy. In my opinion, those fancy citrus press are a total waste of money, and you would be much better off with a Sunkist juicer.

  • 1/4 horsepower motor
  • 1750 RPM
  • High quality and corrosion proof plastic parts
